Endorsed Candidate
Roger Bruce
State Senate District 35

“I always believe that adults should be able to choose to love whomever they wish and be accepted for who they are without having to worry about people taking away their rights. Even my former Republican colleagues I’ve had to work with know that there are LGBT people in their own family and an abridgment of their rights is not only unconstitutional, it’s simply not how you treat humans. I have long fought alongside the LGBTQ community like my own, and I have voted no against hateful bills like that ‘divisive concepts’ bill that wants us to ‘not say gay’ or don’t teach real Black and Brown history. I also passed a Hate Crimes Bill in 2020 that makes it a felony to cause violence to anyone based upon who they choose to love or their race. No one should be in fear of violence simply because they are who they are.”
